Product Description

Cork is our most popular conducting baton handle material. It is naturally absorbent and provides a firm grip during practices and performances. Cork handles are available in either Pear (1" diameter x 2" length) or Tapered (5/8" diameter x 3" length) shapes, and can be ordered in three different shaft lengths of 12", 14" and 16" (measured from the top of the handle to the tip of the shaft). The white lacquer shaft coating is heat set for extreme durability.

Excellent quality (as advertised)

I am very impressed with the quality of the batons. I am always skeptical buying a product that I can not test or hold in my hand before purchasing. The batons are extremely light weight (which I prefer) and well constructed and durable. I look forward to using these personally and recommending them to students. You definitely can not beat the price!
A Nice Baton for a Fantasy Conductor

Listening to classical music all of my 70 years+ lifetime I have always hidden an ambition to be an orchestra conductor even for a few minutes. Well with high fidelity, CD playback and good size speakers in the living room I can indulge my fantasy especially when everyone's out of the house and I can crank the speakers up and conduct My Own Orchestra of the Mind as I like to call them.
I don't have a set of tails but having a baton in my hand makes me the head of the sound surrounding me.
One thing that I just learned that using a baton means you are conducting not just when emotion takes over and you just wave your hands. No wonder many conductors lived to a good age; waving your arms in front of an orchestra for more than 10 minutes takes a lot of calories and determination.
Thanks for helping me indulge my fantasy, Mahler's 8th symphony never sounded better!!
Excellent batons

I was recommended these batons by a friend of mine who is a professional conductor. They are an extremely good value for money and very well made. The pear-shaped cork handle is perfect for me as I like quite a large handle and find the cork very comfortable. The stick is quite thick and bright white which makes it very visible and durable. They are slightly tipped weighted which is perfect for me as I like to feel a bit of weight in the stick as I conduct but this may not suit everyone.
